Aims and Activities of the Gender Equality Council

 

The task of the Council for Gender Equality of the University of Tuzla is to initiate and undertake a number of activities in cooperation with other bodies of the University, which have the following objectives:

 

  1. promotion of integrity, principles of transparency and accountability, as well as preparation of strategic documents aimed at preventing gender-based violence, discrimination and sexual harassment at University of Tuzla;
  2. creation and adoption of a gender equality action plan and other plans to combat gender-based violence, discrimination and sexual harassment;

  3. organization and participation in training, seminars, seminars and other specialized educational programs;


  4. participation in the research dedicated to the analysis of attitudes about the existence and familiarity with regulations aimed at preventing and combating gender-based violence, discrimination and sexual harassment;


  5. monitoring preparation of sylabii and the preparation of educational materials related to the inclusion of principles and practices of gender equality;


  6. providing professional assistance and mutual cooperation related tobuilding and improving quality of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina;


  7. monitoring and ensuring the implementation of the adopted principles and documents;


  8. improving cooperation with universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region in areas relevant to preventing and combating gender-based violence, discrimination and sexual harassment;


  9. joint application of projects in this area and cooperation with other interested institutions.
