Successfully Completed CONNECT 2022 Project

The sixth Connect project was successfully completed this year. As part of it, the “Science Camp” was held in Mostar from August 25 to 28, 2022. After that, the “Connect 2022” symposium was held in Neum from August 29 to September 3, 2022. The project was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD.

The sixth Connect project was successfully completed this year. As part of it, the “Science Camp” was held in Mostar from August 25 to 28, 2022. After that, the “Connect 2022” symposium was held in Neum from August 29 to September 3, 2022.

The project was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD. The participants were professors, assistants, students, and colleagues from universities in Frankfurt, Tuzla, Mostar, Banja Luka, Novi Sad, and Zagreb. The Minister of Education and Science of the Tuzla Canton, Ahmed Omerović, Doctor of Science, Vice-rector for inter-university cooperation in the country and abroad at the University of Tuzla, Professor Vesna Bratovćić, and Professor Mirza Hadžimehmedović from the University of Tuzla delivered a short talk via video link to support the Connect project.

Through lectures and various workshops, students had the opportunities to gain knowledge about writing applications for projects, creating mobile applications, science communication, the role of scientists in modern society, etc. At the end of the symposium, the students presented their works prepared in collaboration with mentors during their stay in Mostar and Neum.

The participants from the University of Tuzla were Professor Elvis Ahmetović and students Ajla Mandalović, Edina Ibrić, Aida Gogić, and Nedžad Jaganjac.

Professor Elvis Ahmetović delivered a lecture at Connect 2022 entitled “Tips for writing project proposals” and presented essential elements and tips in writing project applications. Also, he mentored four students from different universities (Tuzla, Banja Luka, Mostar, Novi Sad) on the topic related to writing project proposals.

During Connect 2022 project and symposium in Neum, a new project proposal for Connect 2023 was prepared and sent to the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD. The leader of this project is Professor Marcus Bleicher from the J.W.Goethe-University of Frankfurt.
