Tuzla, 06 May 2021
EUA is delighted to host several webinars in the coming months and I am pleased to invite you to attend.
On Thursday, 6 May from 14.00 to 15.00 CEST, EUA joins the European University Information Systems (EUNIS) to address information security strategies for higher education institutions. The webinar will provide an opportunity to learn from keynote speakers, also from EUA member universities. It will cover topics such as cybersecurity, governance and online presence, and include an interactive Q&A session.
Are you interested in internal quality assurance? The webinar “Covid-19 and internal quality assurance: lessons learnt and what’s to come” will take place on Thursday, 20 May from 14.00 to 15.00 CEST. It will be of particular interest to rectors, vice-rectors responsible for quality assurance, quality assurance managers in higher education institutions and quality assurance agency staff members.
Addressing the latest university funding trends in Europe, the EUA webinar “University Funding towards 2030: increasing firepower in the post-pandemic phase” will take place on Thursday, 27 May 2021 from 14.00 to 15.00 CEST and will offer an opportunity to discuss funding data gathered from across Europe in the EUA Public Funding Observatory.
From 18 May until 15 June, EUA will host the webinar series “Universities and the future of scholarly publishing” from 14.00 to 15.30 CEST.
18 May: Webinar I – Into the unknown: most likely futures for Open Access publishing
25 May: Webinar II – Universities and the promises of scholar-led publishing
8 June: Webinar III – Quo vadis, transformative agreements?
15 June: Webinar IV – Let’s get practical: aligning institutional action with Plan S
(The final webinar is reserved to EUA members upon invitation.)
Following the strategic reflections in the 2020 report “Read & Publish contracts in the context of a dynamic scholarly publishing system”, EUA is offering this webinar series with the aim to raise awareness across universities about their role in developing an Open Access publishing system. The first three webinars will be organised as foresight-oriented, strategic discussions. The final event, in partnership with Coalition S, will be upon invitation to EUA members and will focus on addressing imminent and practical questions about universities and the implementation of Plan S.
All of the webinars mentioned here are free of charge. Registrations remain open until the start of the event. For any questions, please contact email@example.com.
I look forward to seeing you online at these EUA webinars.
